Awards and recognitions

We are very pleased about the recognition that our work and our projects receive from the public.

The prizes and awards we receive encourage us to further expand our work and also help us to make the topics that are close to our hearts accessible to a broader public.

2021

1st Integration Prize from the city of Velbert


For the third time, our club was awarded the City of Velbert's Integration Prize. This year we received it for our successful project Application Assistance for Refugees.

2016

2nd place “German Citizens’ Prize” category “Everyday Heroes”

For our employee and volunteer German teacher Jacqueline Montemurri-Jarnicki, representing our entire team of volunteer German teachers.

The German Citizens' Prize is the largest volunteer award in Germany and is intended to give people a place on the podium who, for the most part, do voluntary work in secret.


2016

Active for Democracy and Tolerance 2015


As part of the “Active for Democracy and Tolerance 2015” competition, the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance – Against Extremism and Violence awarded us a prize for an imaginative and effective example of civil commitment for our project “Hello Neighbor – Welcome Culture with a Difference”.

2015

1st Integration Prize from the city of Velbert


Our project "Hello Neighbor - Welcome culture with a difference" was considered particularly worthy of funding in 2015 and was awarded the 1st Integration Prize of the City of Velbert on November 26, 2015. The justification states: "What is characteristic of your project is the active role of migrants in shaping coexistence in Velbert. The jury would like to thank you for your remarkable commitment and commitment to refugees and asylum seekers in Velbert."

2014

Active for Democracy and Tolerance 2013

The Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance – Against Extremism and Violence awarded us a prize for an imaginative and effective example of civil commitment for our project “Learning German” as part of the “Active for Democracy and Tolerance 2013” competition.

2013

Our “Learning German” project was considered particularly worthy of funding in 2013 and was awarded the city of Velbert’s 1st Integration Prize.
